Beautiful hotel, large spacious communal areas that were a delight to sit in, especially with a cocktail! We were fortunate to stay in an updated room, which was very spacious and had lots of little upgrades, such as complimentary mini bar, coffee machine, robes and elemis shampoo and soap. Breakfast was a little chaotic at busy times, but the quality was lovely, especially the fruit juices. You could ask for porridge etc, but it would have been helpful to have menus prompting you to what they could offer in addition to the buffet options. They provide a gluten free coeliac breakfast too, with sausages and hash browns etc. The pool was clean and well maintained, if you have kids be mindful that they are only allowed in the pool at certain times. The staff were friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay.

The staff. They really made the place. Especially Ben, I was absolutely lovely and made me feel so welcome and taken care of - what a gem. All the staff were very nice to my dog. The pianist who isn’t even a hired pianist (blows my mind) and actually is just a member of staff who plays the piano after his shift for pleasure is an absolute diamond - it was genuinely the highlight of my stay (alongside Ben). Staff really make the place and they really were just superb. Thank you

We booked for 2 nights and had an excellent stay. The room was so comfortable and facilities were fabulous. All the staff were so friendly but we have to give a special mention to Nick the events experience manager who promptly sorted out an issue and to Mark the concierge who was wonderful with our dog. It was our second visit to this hotel and we will be going back. A beautiful hotel with a lot of history. We can highly recommend it.

The room was superb, the carpet was luxurious and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The view out of the window was lovely. The staff are all very friendly and efficient. Checkin/out was easy and uncomplicated with lovely staff. This is our third stay and thought that this was the best yet Love the fridge and safe in the room The grounds are beautiful and well kept.
